Children ages 3 years through 3rd grade – “Children and Worship” is the program we utilize with our Sunday Schoolers ages three years through third grade. This sensorimotor approach to learning the stories of the bible allows our children to encounter and experience God in new ways including watching the stories unfold, listening to the scripture and words of the stories and responding in open-ended ways! Sunday School takes place in our Worship Center. Parents are always welcome to join us!

4th grade through Middle School – In addition to being a vibrant, growing class, the students are also members of the Kids for Christ Youth Group.  KFC is much more than a Sunday School class.  We do meet every Sunday morning from 8:45-9:45, and we do follow a Christian Education curriculum (Seasons of the Spirit).  However, we are also a service group and a place for great fellowship with occasional youth activities outside the Sunday School hour.  This year we are taking as our motto  “ … no people so small they cannot offer mighty comfort” from the book 14 Cows for America.  (see link 14cowsforamerica.com )

Our class is spent learning how God offers us comfort and how we, no matter how small we are, can offer comfort to others.  Thus, we learn about people in the Bible who followed God’s word -- such as the widow who gave her small offering, Moses who didn’t think he spoke well enough to follow God’s call and Peter who denied Christ but became a leader of the church.  Then we try to carry out God’s command to love our neighbor through acts of service, such as walking in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, cooking for the Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless, and baking for a coffee hour for our congregation.

We try to relate all our lessons to the daily lives of school-aged children, discussing what even young children can do to care for God’s creation and for others that we live with or meet.  In addition, we plan events during the year including a Progressive Dinner and an annual Lock-In.  Everyone in 4th grade through Middle School is welcome to come to any or all of our classes and programs.

High School There are opportunities for high school students to provide assistance to children in younger classes and to participate in any of the KFC service/fellowship activities.  For more information please feel free to contact Tracey Waters at Lteawaters@aol.com, or by calling 858-9092.

Adult Sunday School – led by Pastor Harlan Ratmeyer.
